Today is World Teachers Day.
We are immensely proud of all of our instructors for their dedication to their students, Nimbus, and their industries. We are proud to be able to say that each and every instructor who teaches here is an active participant in their field, whether it’s the music business, audio engineering, music production, video production, or audio post production.
Nimbus instructors are industry leaders teaching from current and ongoing experience. Nimbus students often have the opportunity to work on real-world projects with their instructors and our co-founders GGGarth Richardson & Bob Ezrin. Some students even earn their first album credit while in school!
We are proud of our teachers, but really it comes down to what our students think. Here are just a few quotes from our students and alumni on the quality of teaching at Nimbus:
“The teachers really care,” said Nimbus alumnus Michael Kenyon. “They are willing to go above and beyond.”

We’ve had two amazing teachers, Swann Barratt and Erik Armstrong teaching us everything they know, and in a variety of different rooms and settings, leaving myself, and the rest of the class well prepared to work for any person, or any venue.” – Audrey Arrellano, Advanced Music Production & Live Sound Alumna
“The quality of education is really good. Daniel Byrne is teaching us (ENGR100), and everything he’s saying is gold. He has this way of teaching that just goes right into my head.” – Ross Fahy, Advanced Music Production student
Advanced Audio Engineering students rate Juno-award winning engineer and producer Ben Kaplan “10 out of 10” for his teaching of our Audio Engineering 200 course. “We get to learn Ben’s workflow, pretty much how he does things. He’s the hardest working engineer in the city, it seems. He always seems to be working. After learning from Ben, I’m confident I know everything I need to know.”
“Coming to Nimbus was the best decision I’ve ever made. I never completed high school, I dropped out because I was bullied. Nimbus is different, it felt like a home. I never wanted to leave. The small class sizes meant I had lots of personal time with the instructors. Nimbus is a very supportive environment, everyone is so supportive and willing to help. The supportive environment and the expertise of the instructors made such a huge difference.” – Michael Porcher, Post & Game Audio Production Alumnus

Every instructor at Nimbus is an industry professional who has dedicated his or her life to the music industry. The music business requires a full-hearted passion for music that all of the instructors share. Learning from people whose work you admire is incredibly motivating, especially when you can see how devoted they are to their craft. The small class sizes at Nimbus allow for constant face-to-face interaction with instructors and the result is a student-teacher connection unlike any other.” – Advanced Music Production, Music Business alumna & artist, Cassie DaSilva
Happy World Teachers Day to all of our instructors!
